Creative Workshop Association: what is? [in italian]

Creative Workshop è un’Associazione culturale no-profit a cui partecipano artisti provenienti da differenti esperienze espressive che pubblicano le loro creazioni sotto licenze Creative Commons, operatori nei differenti ambiti della cultura e volontari che a vario titolo collaborano con l’Associazione ed i suoi progetti.

Siamo aperti a tutti coloro che condividono la filosofia della cultura libera.

La finalità dei nostri progetti è diffondere e promuovere la cultura Creative Commons ed Open Source, incentivare la collaborazione fra artisti, creare momenti di incontro, eventi formativi e informativi, supportare e incentivare progetti anche in collaborazione con altre realtà con finalità analoghe, sensibilizzare l’opinione pubblica sui temi quali le opere libere e le alternative alle collecting royalties monopolistiche come la SIAE.

Per raggiungere e perseguire i nostri obbiettivi abbiamo fondato un progetto, Be-Creative, una webzine aperta a tutti coloro che scrivono sul mondo delle opere libere e creative, ed incorporato una web radio di successo attiva già dal 2009, Life Style Radio, generalista e monocanale, dedicata soprattutto alla promozione di musica libera, cultura ed intrattenimento per tutti.

Creative Workshop is a non-profit cultural association that involves artists from different expressive backgrounds who publish their creations under Creative Commons licenses, professionals in various cultural fields, and volunteers who collaborate with the Association and its projects in various capacities.

We are open to all those who share the philosophy of free culture.

The purpose of our projects is to spread and promote Creative Commons and Open Source culture, encourage collaboration among artists, create moments of meeting, educational and informational events, support and promote projects also in collaboration with other entities with similar purposes, raise public awareness on topics such as free works and alternatives to monopolistic royalty collections like SIAE.

To achieve and pursue our objectives, we have founded a project, Be-Creative, a webzine open to all those who write about the world of free and creative works, and incorporated a successful web radio, Life Style Radio, active since 2009, a generalist and single-channel radio dedicated primarily to the promotion of free music, culture, and entertainment for all.

IL PENSIERO CREATIVO…
La forza di un’idea non si misura dalla sua più o meno originalità o dai suoi presupposti innovativi; la forza di un’idea risiede nella volontà profusa nel portarla avanti, in quella che alcuni potrebbero definire come ostinazione o caparbietà, ma che in realtà si traduce in un appassionato credere in qualcosa.

Partendo da questo presupposto abbiamo unito le nostre energie nella creazione di questa nuova affermazione del nostro ideale di cultura più libera e aperta.

Con “BE-CREATIVE” vogliamo vivere insieme a voi il viaggio più affascinante della vostra vita, attraverso la musica, le parole, le immagini e il pensiero di chi come noi crede nella bellezza del nostro immenso patrimonio culturale e in un Copyright più flessibile.

The strength of an idea is not measured by its level of originality or its innovative assumptions; the strength of an idea lies in the will exerted to carry it forward, in what some might describe as stubbornness or tenacity, but which actually translates into a passionate belief in something.

Starting from this premise, we have joined forces in creating this new affirmation of our ideal of a freer and more open culture.

With “BE-CREATIVE,” we want to embark on the most fascinating journey of your life together with you, through music, words, images, and the thoughts of those, like us, who believe in the beauty of our immense cultural heritage and in a more flexible approach to copyright.
